NEW LAUNCH: Career Advisory Program: Get Prepared for Your First Job

Are you a secondary school or university student looking to apply for internships or full-time jobs for the first time? If so, you may find yourself pondering, “How do I even begin finding the career path that best suits me?”.

Our Careers Advisory Program during Summer 2020 is designed to boost your confidence, prepare you for job interviews and help you impress your future employers. 

The immersive intensive training program comprises of three main components:
1. Skills Training Workshops
During the intensive 30-hour workshops (including psychometric tests to identify your personality traits, CV & cover letter drafting and mock interviews), you will learn the critical skills that are essential to success and transferrable to any career aspiration you may have.

2. Speaker Event Series 
From our speakers, including a senior HR practitioner, a corporate founder and a start-up entrepreneur, you will learn what skills employers are looking for, how technology is shaping the workplace, and the major differences between entrepreneurship and working in a large corporation.

3. Internship Placement
Upon passing interviews, you will be given the opportunity to intern at one our corporate partners in industries including retail, property, marketing, technology, accounting and more.

Part I: Skills Training Workshops

Chow Tai Fook

Interns will get to ride the wave of Chow Tai Fook’s creation of the new retail ecosystem. Interns will be paired with customer experience innovators and business transformers to taste how to drive intrapreneurship and customer-centric, data-driven digital transformation process.

New World Development

Interns will be assigned to one of the business units of the New World Group. University students will have the chance to gain entrepreneurial exposure, as well as to participate in business visits, corporate events and mentor & buddy programmes. Secondary school students will have the chance to gain hands-on work exposure, as well as to network with colleagues, which will aid the calibration of their interests and career aspirations.

(Marketing)

OpenMinds

Interns will work with the digital media team within a varied digital marketing role with the opportunity to engage a range of brands across industries. Specific tasks include creative ideation and content generation, strategizing for social media activities, and market and competitive research.

(6 July - 28 August)

(Business Management / Technology)

Toasty

One intern with a business background will participate in the execution of various business workstreams, including sales outreach, marketing and customer success. One intern with a computer science background will participate in product development and engineering, designing and creating modern technologies.

(Accounting)

YL Law & Co 

Interns will assist in the preparation of financial statements for various corporations in accordance with the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards, as well as conducting profit tax computation and company secretarial work.
