Our Team

Celia Wu graduated from one of the prestigeous universities in mainland China, winning numerous awards., including 10 elite students of the whole school. In her second year, she was elected to represent her university to run for national champion in English speaking and debating competition and won two gold medals.  She majored in clinical medicine, switch to English language and translation for her master's degree and got CELTA certificate from University of Cambridge.

Celia has been working in the education industry since 2007. She worked as a part-time teacher in New Oriental Group, leading instituion in China. She gave lectures and became interested in examinations such as SAT/ACT/SSAT, aiming to find effective strategies for students to perform better under time pressure. She can identify student's personality, current weakness precisely and provide solutions accordingly, tailoring to their own needs. She also sits in the exam almost every year, obtaining 115+ in TOEFL, 1530+ in New SAT. By doing so, she firmly beileves that she can experience the exact feelings her students face and more empathy certainly helps in teaching interaction. She worked with talented children to help ensure they receive the most suitable academic support they need to achieve their full potential. Also, during the past 13 years, Celia has been teaching elite students from top schools in mainland China, HK(CIS, ISF,HKIS), top boarding schools in US(Chaote, Philips Andover, Deerfield, Concord) and UK(Winchester, CLC, Beneden) and over 98% of her students got satisfactory scores, with an average of 130-150 improvements in new SAT/SSAT. She is known to be able to deliver her in-depth knowledge in a logical and simplified way, making complicated questions straight-forward, whilst her exam-oriented focus allows students to score the necessary points under intense exam conditions. She speaks fluent Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

As a long-time silmultaneous interpreter for British Council, she is accustomed to working under pressure and coping with stress. At ARCH, Celia teaches SSAT/SAT/ACT/TOEFL/IELTS and is willing to share how to optimize student's overall academic performance as well as university application. She enjoys reading, yoga and traveling in spare time.
